What was common to all those who pulled a handcart? This book answers those questions. It contains excerpts from the journals of those who walked in all ten companies. It is hoped that youth and families will take this book and go to such places as Iowa City, Chimney Rock, Red Buttes, Martin's Cove, Rocky Ridge, and Rock Creek Hollow and read the pioneers' words as they stand on or near where those early Saints stood.
